Adult Physical Activity Our adult physical activity work focuses on helping more adults to be more active, more often. Aligned with key aims from Active 8: A Plan for Sport, the work focuses on creating environments where physical activity is part of everyday life through workplaces, healthcare, and community settings.

As part of this work, we awarded Island Games Physical Activity Legacy grants to support local groups looking to expand or start a new physical activity offering for adults, with an aim of reaching typically less active groups of adults. To find out more information about these grants, click Island Games Legacy Grants

Current projects include the Be Active at Work service, supporting workplaces to incorporate physical activity into their normal working day and supporting healthcare professionals to encourage their patients to be active. More information on both can be found under resources at the bottom of the page.

Future work will see further support for workplaces and healthcare, and various other community projects, in order to help islanders lead active lifestyles.
